What’s new for the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E?
For 2024, Ford is rolling out an all-new, trail-friendly version of its high-speed luxury EV. Although we don’t know all the details yet, the Rally will be designed to maximize traction in the dirt, and Ford says it will deliver more power than even the Mustang Mach-E GT!
Ford has also announced a few changes to the Select and Premium trim models. For starters, the new Mustang Mach-E Select will now be available with the extended-range battery. And the Premium now comes standard with a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat. Both models will sport new wheels and LED signature lighting. Two fresh paint colors are also available, Eruption Green Metallic and Glacier Gray Metallic Tri-Coat.
Unfortunately, the California Route 1 trim model has been discontinued, along with a couple of exterior paint colors (Carbonized Gray Metallic and Space White Metallic) and the Mustang Nite Pony Package.
How much horsepower does the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E deliver?
As of this writing, the Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition remains the strongest option, delivering 480 horsepower and 634 pound-feet of torque! However, Ford says that its off-road-ready Rally trim model will be even more powerful. But we won’t know for sure till Ford releases details for both the GT and Rally trim models in early 2024.
We expect each Mustang Mach-E trim model to once again deliver unique performance specs. Although we know that the Select will now be available with the extended battery, we’re still waiting to learn what that means in terms of horsepower and range!
Otherwise, we expect the 2024 Mustang Mach-E performance specs to look a lot like they did last year:
- Select (standard battery, RWD): 266 horsepower, 317 lb-ft of torque (247-mile range)
- Select (standard battery, AWD): 266 hp, 428 lb-ft (224-mile range)
- Premium (standard battery, RWD): 266 horsepower, 317 lb-ft of torque (247-mile range)
- Premium (standard battery, AWD): 266 hp, 428 lb-ft (224-mile range)
- Premium (extended-range battery, RWD): 290 hp, 317 lb-ft (303-mile range)
- Premium (extended-range battery, AWD): 346 hp, 428 lb-ft (277-mile range)
- GT (extended-range battery, AWD): 480 hp, 600 lb-ft (270-mile range)
- GT Performance Edition: 480 hp, 634 lb-ft (260-mile range)
Does the 2024 Ford Mustang Mach-E offer heated and cooled front seats?
As usual, the Mustang Mach-E Premium and GT trim models will come standard with heated seats! Although ventilated seats weren’t available at all last year, we’re still waiting to hear how Ford will equip the new GT and Rally trim models. Hopefully, the top-trim versions of this EV will include cooled front seats (or at least offer them as an option!).
In spite of this small oversight, the upcoming Mustang Mach-E remains a luxurious EV, with a standard lineup that includes a panoramic fixed-glass roof, dual-zone automatic climate control, and soft-touch vegan leather upholstery. These EVs are also incredibly tech-savvy! Every Mustang Mach-E comes with the SYNC 4 infotainment system, a 15.5-inch vertically oriented touchscreen, navigation, and a wireless smartphone charging pad.
And moving up the list of trim models means more luxury! In addition to heated front seats, the Premium adds a hands-free liftgate and a 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system, among other upgrades. In the GT, front sport seats keep you nice and snug when you want to make use of your 480-horsepower motor!
