Look sharp, drive fast, and never emit a single emission in the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E. Ford’s performance-based crossover is putting a new spin on all-electric driving. Signature has the details you’ve been waiting for.
What is the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E?
Get ready for the first four-door Mustang and Ford’s best in all-electric driving to date!
While the Mustang Mach-E takes many of its styling cues from the iconic American pony car, it’s actually a four-door crossover with an electric powertrain. Like the classic Ford Mustang, though, this new model embraces driving enthusiasts with its exciting performance.
Said enthusiasts will be able to choose from a variety of trim models and powertrain options for the daily drive that speaks to their personal style. The upcoming Mach-E GT is set to be the most exciting of the bunch, going from zero to 60 mph in less than 4 seconds. Not only is it faster than the Porsche Macan, but it’ll even give the Porsche 911 GTS a run for its money, with 459 horsepower and 612 pound-feet of torque! That’s right—the Mach-E GT is an EV that competes with the Mustang Shelby GT500 performance coupe!
How do I recharge the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E?
Just like your beloved smartphone, the all-electric Mustang Mach-E has a battery that occasionally needs recharging. Perhaps the most practical way to replenish your Mach-E is by installing a 240-volt electrical socket in your garage, giving you a charging rate of 22 miles per charging hour. Install the optional Ford Connected charging station for 32 miles per charging hour.
Ford has also partnered with Electrify America to help make your 2021 Mach-E an all-star weekend warrior. With fast-charge ports located across the U.S., Electrify America systems can replenish up to 61 miles of range in just 10 minutes. Planning an EV road trip has never been so easy.
Does the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E have autopilot?
This Ford EV is taking aim at Tesla with an autopilot system of its own, Active Drive Assist. The system can drive itself down more than 100,000 miles of pre-mapped roads and highways.
Unlike the Tesla version, though, Ford’s autopilot technology requires that you keep your eyes on the road, creating a safer overall experience. If its dash-mounted sensors detect that the driver’s eyes or attention is wandering from the road, the system disengages
The Mustang Mach-E also introduces a new lane-keeping assist feature, Road Edge Detection. Instead of centering you within a clearly marked lane, this technology can use the edge of the road as a reference, keeping you from accidentally leaving the pavement.
And the new Intersection Assist system adds to the Mach-E’s frontal collision mitigation features by checking for vehicles moving toward you from the opposing direction or while crossing an intersection.
How do I buy the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E? How much is it? When will the Mach-E be available?
If you’re as stoked for the upcoming Mustang Mach-E as we are, you’ll be pleased to learn that you won’t have to wait long. Ford’s sporty EV crossover is set to hit American roadways in fall of 2020! But you don’t have to wait to reserve yours. With a $500 deposit, you’re all set to choose your model.
These performance-based EV crossovers start at $43,895. At the time of writing, the Mustang Mach-E qualifies for a tax credit of up to $7,500. Keep in mind, though, that the tax credit varies according to how many models have sold, with the credit amount dropping as more Mach-Es head home with new drivers.
