What is the Ford Bronco?
The 2021 Ford Bronco is a fresh take on Ford’s beloved off-roading SUV of yore. After a 20-year hiatus, the newly redesigned Bronco is ready to roll into your next adventure. Indeed, with its powerful engine options, rugged gear, and seemingly endless customizations, this new Bronco is unstoppable.

Which 2021 Ford Bronco is the best?
The 2021 Ford Bronco comes in two body styles: two-door and four-door. The two-door Broncos seat four passengers, while the four-door models bring capacity up to five.
Then there are seven trim models: Base, Big Bend, Black Diamond, Outer Banks, Badlands, Wildtrak, and First Edition. Each has something unique to offer, leaving each individual driver to choose their own best Bronco:
-
Base: The entry-level Bronco is loaded with rugged essentials - including standard four-wheel drive and removable doors and roof. Better yet, the Base Bronco is insanely customizable, giving you room to add any of a full line of factory-backed accessories.
-
Big Bend: Besides the standard off-roading gear, the Bronco Big Bend adds cushy comfort to your adventure with extras like heated seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and remote start technology.
-
Black Diamond: This Bronco takes off-roading to new heights. It adds gear you need to tackle heavy-duty terrain, including a rear-locking differential, rock rails, heavy-duty skid plates, and steel front and rear bumpers.
-
Outer Banks: Shopping for more style? Then this Bronco is more your speed, with LED head and tail lamps, body-colored fender flares, and 18-inch high-gloss black aluminum-alloy wheels. Inside the cabin, an upgraded B&O premium sound system and 12-inch touchscreen interface enhance your infotainment experience.
-
Badlands: If you’re ready for a serious trek through the wilderness, the Bronco Badlands is ready for extreme off-roading with front and rear locking differentials, Bilstein shocks, a disconnecting stabilizer bar, and your choice of off-road-ready tires.
-
Wildtrak: This Bronco was designed with high-speed off-roading in mind. It comes standard with the upgraded powertrain, a 2.7-liter twin-turbo V6 that’s ready for action with 310 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque. With its black grille, black wheels, and black hardtop, the Wildtrak is easily spotted.
-
First Edition: Ford is no longer taking reservations for the Bronco First Edition. But, if you’re lucky enough to have already ordered one of these limited-edition models (only 3,500 available!), then you’ll be getting a combination of the Badlands (hardy mechanics), Outer Banks (snazzy interior), and Wildtrack (stylish exterior).

What’s under the hood?
Time to talk powertrain. Every Bronco is ready for action with four-wheel drive. The standard engine is a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that helps you move through the wilderness with 270 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque. This engine is available with a class-exclusive seven-speed manual transmission that includes a dedicated crawl gear that enhances precision in difficult off-road terrain.
For a little more speed, check out the optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V6 engine. It helps the Bronco kick up sand, sleet, mud, or snow with 310 horses and 400 pound-feet of torque. While it’s not available with the manual transmission, its 10-speed automatic transmission was designed to deliver a sporty performance.
